Louise grew up near Frankfurt, Germany. Showing an early interest in music and the visual arts, she spent a lot of time drawing, singing and studying the piano. At 16, she fell in love with the cello. Alongside her cello lessons, she uses any excuse to visit violin-making workshops, which fascinate her. After two courses, she was sure she had found her vocation.<\/p>\n

After obtaining her Abitur (A-levels), she went to France to study at the \u00c9cole Nationale de Lutherie de Mirecourt. After three years of study, she was awarded the Dipl\u00f4me des M\u00e9tiers d'Art with the congratulations of the jury.<\/p>\n

For the next six years, Louise worked alongside renowned luthiers, first in Paris with Bernard Sabatier and Patrick Charton, then in Toulouse with Fabien Peyruc. There, she learned to listen to, analyze, restore and make sound adjustments to the quartet's instruments.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Louise will set up her own business making cellos, violins and violas. She wanted to focus particularly on cello design. So she turned to Frank Ravatin, who welcomed her into his workshop. She made a cello under his guidance, benefiting from his advice and experience. In 2020, she took part in a training course on violin varnishes with the painter and restorer Fran\u00e7ois P\u00e9r\u00e9go. There she acquired the chemical knowledge she needed to make her own varnishes. <\/p>\n

Louise is constantly seeking to deepen her knowledge. She is a member of the ALADFI and regularly takes part in lutherie conferences and advanced training courses.<\/p>\n

Her work is nourished by the study of the instruments of the Cremonese and Venetian masters of the 17th and 18th centuries. She reinterprets their works rather than copying them. Her instruments are exhibited at national and international events such as the Salon du Violon in Paris, Ekho in Brussels and the Cello Bi\u00ebnnale in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n
